What Are the Special Pros and Cons of Hybrid Cars? : New Land rover new autos review

What Are the Special Pros and Cons of Hybrid Cars?
by Ismail Y. Alabdullah

Hybrid cars are considered to be the car of tomorrow. Because of the benefits it can give you, you will definitely want to get one for your own. In fact, more and more people are now considering selling their conventional car and purchase it. So, why is it that more and more people prefer getting it instead of a conventional car even if retail prices are far more expensive?
The answer to this is that these people are thinking of the long term benefits that these cars can give. With a hybrid car, you can cut fuel consumption in half compared to conventional cars. It will be able to give you maximum fuel efficiency. It will be able to give you far better mileage to the gallon. Just imagine, you can get more than 60 miles to the gallon of gasoline.
This is because they run on two engines. One is the conventional internal combustion engine that you will find in conventional cars and the other is the electric motor and batteries. They are basically cars that combine electric energy and gasoline energy. By combining these two to power your car, it will run quieter, cleaner and far more efficient than conventional cars. These are the main advantages.
Another advantage is that you will be able to save more money from tax breaks imposed by the US government to users and buyers. If you own a hybrid car, you will be able to enjoy tax breaks. Also, you will be able to enjoy free parking and other incentives that the government imposed on owners.
Now that you know about the main pros, you also need to know what the cons are.
People have been purchasing these cars because of the ability of saving a lot of money from fuel consumption. However, the main advantage, which is the electric motor, is also its downfall. When a it is involved in an accident it will be difficult for you and the rescuers to get you out of the car because of the dangers of electrocution. Hybrid cars carry large amounts of voltage. When it gets involved in an accident, wires from the battery may tear off and will be potentially dangerous to handle.
Another disadvantage is that the retail price is higher than conventional cars in the same weight class. However, it can counter this disadvantage by allowing consumers to save money in a long term basis. When you look at it in a long term basis, it tend to be cheaper than conventional cars. Try and compute the amount of gasoline both cars will consume during its lifetime and add it to the retail price of the car. You will see that the conventional car will tend to be more expensive than hybrid cars when you look at it in a long term basis.
These are the pros and cons. You can see that it contains more advantages than disadvantages. Most of them today are now integrated with the latest technology in car safety. So, if you are planning to purchase a car, think hybrid.

How To Save Gas Cost By Running Your Car or Truck On Water : new Land rover hybrid car 2008

How To Save Gas Cost By Running Your Car or Truck On Water
by Michael Arcand
When you look closely at such 100% water driven technology, one ends up spending even more than using the usual fuel for powering vehicles. So, the method I recommend for powering your car with water that will save you cost of fuel is to make your own low-cost hybrid car that will run on water and gas, thereby saving you huge costs you would have spent using only gas. In other words - Hydrogen-On-Demand system where you run your car on Hydrogen WHEN you need it! Note that I am not saying you should build a car from scratch that will run on water. Not at all. This instead is about constructing simple devices that will enable your car to run on water as well as gas. You don't have to alter your car make-up or get a new car. The technology can work with almost any car or truck. In simple words, this technology involves putting together home-made devices that use a little electricity out of your car's battery to separate water into a gas called HHO (2 Hydrogen + 1 Oxygen). HHO, also known as Hydrogen*Oxygen, or Hydroxy, burns beautifully and by so doing provides TONS of energy. And the most remarkable beauty is that this pound for pound HHO gas is even much more potent than gasoline. In fact 3 times more potent than gasoline. By using such cars you effectively save money that would have been spent on fuel for your car. It is estimated that this could save you as much as $897.40 per year. If you are two, three or four drivers in the family, this yearly savings increases dramatically. And what if you have a fleet of 50 drivers in your company? Then your yearly savings will multiply to $44,870. First things first... this isn't about running your car on 100% water. Of course there are information available about running your car on 100% water but I don't recommend them because they are not only complicated but seriously expensive and completely unpredictable.

Do Not Back into Something in a SUV : New SUV Land rover 2009

Do Not Back into Something in a SUV
by Dennis James
Modern cars are built somewhat different compared to cars thirty or forty years ago. Back then cars were built so strong, that if you ever back up and hit something, like a wall or a pole, the car would hardly had any scratch on it. Nowadays car manufacturers make use of controlled deformable zones around your car's chassis that are meant to break up first when your car is hit so that the impact energies will be dissipated and they will not reach the car's passengers. In fact, a recent survey conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety revealed that the most expensive SUV repairing for a 5mph crash was around $3,300. Why was the repairing so expensive you may ask, for a back-up hit that happened at almost walking speed? The SUV has damaged its end gate and its rear window, beside from pulling the fender wells in. The same survey reveled that between 1999 and 2003 seven of the 10 most expensive SUV repairing due to faulty back-ups were because the spare tire was situated on the end gate, causing significant damage to this part of the car. Among those very expensive SUV's to fix were the Toyota Rav4, the Honda CR-V, the Isuzu Trooper or the Land Rover Freelander. In all these cases, their owners had to pay more than $2,000 for a slow speed back collision. You should know these facts if you are interested in buying a SUV. Yes, they seem solid and they are advertised to be able to go where normal cars cannot and sustain significant amount of pressure. However, even the minor crash can cost you many thousand of dollars in these SUVs. Another relevant piece of information is the federal standard for car bumpers. 30 years ago there was a 5mps bumper standard, whereas today this limit has decreased to 2.5 mps. However, this bumper standard only applies to small cars and not to large SUVs or pick-up trucks. Hence SUV's and pick-ups have very large bumpers installed, repairing or replacing such an item can cost you dearly. In fact, it is recently that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has removed from their testing procedures the rear pole crush test as car manufacturers had put increased pressure on the Institute to do so. This means that you are not able to know at what speed your SUV can withstand a back-up crash without sustaining significant damage. Let us look at the prices for car rear bumpers to understand whey repairing or replacing a bumper can be that expensive. Repairing a plastic, medium size rear bumper will cost anywhere from $300 to $500. To replace it altogether will cost you from $800 to $1,100, depending on your car's brand and size. However, most modern cars include reversing sensors in the rear bumper or small video cameras for reversing. In this case, you can double the above prices, as new similar equipment will have to be installed, in addition to connecting all the wires to these accessories. Statistics reveal that in the US alone there are more than 12 million rear end collisions each year and more than 8 million rear bumpers are replaced yearly. Therefore, even if the speed of the crash is not at all significant, insurance companies pay a lot of money for repairing or replacing these parts. In addition, you know that you need insurance; the company will only increase your insurance fee over the next years. The best advice one can get you is to drive carefully and safely.

How to Convert Your Car to Run on Water in One Afternoon : New water cars hybrid engine 2009

How to Convert Your Car to Run on Water in One Afternoon : New water cars hybrid engine

How to Convert Your Car to Run on Water in One Afternoon
by Nickolie

Building a hydrogen generator to convert your car to run on water is pretty cheap. It can be done for under $150. And all of the materials needed are easily be found at your local hardware store. By doing this, I’ve cut my monthly gas bill in half, putting more money in my pocket each month. Now I’m going to show you how to convert your car to run on water with a hydrogen generator. What I mean is your car is not going to run solely on water. It will still need gas. But it will be using a water gas mixture to increase the gas mileage and the efficiency of your engine.
Behind Building a Hydrogen Generator
Building a hydrogen generator will take an in-depth manual to be done in a safe and right way. But even a novice could install a hydrogen generator safely. The idea is you put a small jar with in your engine compartment, fill it up with water and some baking soda, use a small amount of electricity from your battery and the water molecules will change in to HHO Gas, also know as Brown Gas.
The Brown Gas is used by your engine vacuum system to the air manifold and on into the cars engine. Where it will be used with the regular gasoline for a better and more efficacy burn. Resulting in improved gas mileage and reduces emissions.
When Converting your Car to Run on Water
There is no need to cut, to weld anything, or to make any other type of alteration to your car. This system is actually untraceable and easily removable. If the time ever came to remove it.
Adding a fuel line with a device that tricks the oxygen sensor in your car in believing you still getting the old crappy gas mileage you will increase your gas mileage even more. Many people see a 40%-80% increase in there gas mileage. And a 70% ” 80% reduction in there emissions.
With the gas prices expecting to hit $7 dollars a gallon by the end of 2008. It might be a wise chose converting your car to run on water. I’m saving an extra $1,280 per year in the car that I’ve converted into a hybrid. Start making a plan to save money on rising gas prices now, and use the extra money for what ever you want later.
The technology is here and has a proven and safe record of working well. It can be done for just under $150 and an afternoon.

4 Golden Ways To Save On Gas
by Tom Tessin
When gasoline prices are cheap, you never hear about people complaining but once they reach that three dollar mark, it seems like everyone wants to riot but do they ever do it? No. Instead, you just see people fill up at the pumps and drive their SUVs. Gas prices will remain to rise until the demand lowers so much, they will have no choice but to lower it or we stick to alternative fuel source which doesn't seem like it'll ever happen. We could complain about gas prices all day but in the meantime, let's discuss how we can save on gas. The internet is your friend Before you set journey to the road, check the internet for places that offer gas prices. If you know you have to fill up on your next trip, hop online to a website like gasbuddy.com that shows you the gas prices in your area. It's a very simple website to use. You simply pop in where you live and users will input gas prices in that area. Find the lowest price and go from there. Stay away from the freeways If you're on a road trip or you're in desperate need to fill up, make sure that you avoid the gas stations on the freeways. These stations are generally a little higher than a station off the road. If you simply travel down the road for a mile or so, you'll probably find a station that's a few cents cheaper. If may not sound like a lot but it does add up! Find cash only stations Believe it or not, there are gas stations out there that only accept cash. While this may scare away a lot of customers, these gas stations are able to offer lower gas prices because they don't have to pay the credit card merchant fees. If you know of one in your area, bring some cash and fill up. You can usually save a few cents only if use cash. It's a win-win deal! Check out the clubs If you live near a Sam's Club or CostCo, you may want to check out this type of place if you don't already have a membership. Most of these warehouse clubs have gas stations where you can save even more on gas. A membership at this type of place is about forty dollars. So not only can you save on gas, you can save on food as well. Besides these 4 points, there are many other ways you can save on gas such as changing your driving habits, buying a fuel efficient car that get s over 25 miles to gallon, keeping your car well maintained and more. If you take care of your car and you look for deals using the points mentioned above, you shouldn't have a problem saving a few cents a gallon. Remember that every cent adds up and if you're using a SUV, get rid of it! You're only hurting yourself with the high gas bill.

Car Lease Specials: The Baby Land Rover : New Land rover new car 2008 review

Car Lease Specials: The Baby Land Rover
by Danie
Just after having released the LRX to the market, Land Rover is yet on another roll to release another of their many planned car lease specials. This time the design is based loosely on the LRX and the Freelander. It looks like the newcomer will be a five-door sport SUV that is set to battle it out against brand rivals BMW and Audi, X1 and Q5 respectively. The new Land Rover is slightly smaller than previous models, earning it the Baby Land Rover title. It's the kind of model that Land Rover really wants to push to the green market as well, as it will feature technology increasing efficiency and further boosting the green credentials that Land Rover wants to offer the market. These technologies will include the stop-start system and a hybrid drivetrain, both that are likely there to reduce CO2 emissions in this range of vehicle. All that said, do suspect that people will be more interested in the exterior more than what runs this SUV because it will sport the LRX front aggressive look, which really gives away the influence of the build. Also, the car will be a little higher to give occupants more headroom and more luggage space. The model however will not be as tall as the Freelander it is based on, with shallow side windows and pillars on the side that make the roof look like it's suspended in air. A split tailgate tops off this beautiful future of car lease specials from Land Rover. Inside, one will find a two-toned theme of the cabin, a dashboard that will more than likely look like the Freelanders current offering, and luxurious material ranging from leather and wood to carbon fiber and aluminum. Engine options will also be quite numerous with the stop-start technology fitted into a 2.2 liter diesel and a 3.2 liter straight six gas version. This means lower fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions. There are rumors of the car using a more advanced type of hybrid system as well, with talk of the use of super capacitors instead of batteries that will store energy from regenerative braking. Motors hidden in the front wheels will allow a driver to get more speed as electricity flows to run them. All in all, this is a Land Rover and only quality is expected from this seasoned manufacturer. No name has been given to the new baby Land Rover but there have been suggestions of sticking it with the Freelander brand. Still a little far off, the sports SUV is expected to hit showrooms in 2010. So it may be best to save all that money you have now to get one of these car lease specials from Land Rover in the future. More best car lease deal information at the Car Leasing Secrets website.
